Walkie's time.....

I have to get this snap of the last pup... we named "Charlie" as was sick of shouting puppy....
I dont think he wanted to go walkies.... he would rather sit in our daughters double buggy, with the doll keeping him company!! LOL He takes after his mum as when she was a pup, our daughter put her in a dolls pram and she fell asleep in it while our daughter was pushing the pram around lol

We are hoping that he sells very soon as he will be 12 weeks next week, and getting very attached to our little girl. We have had people ring but they havent returned their calls... like they said they was going to. So wasting our time, by staying in, when we could be out!!!

Mother, Father and Son

I couldnt resist taking this shot of the Pup with his Mum and Dad..... I just came from the living room to find that all the dogs was in the one basket.

The pup is 10 weeks old today.... and he is so loving and loves playing, follows us everywhere in the house. Then when Lady and Pursey go out.... he's there waiting to join them to, he loves playing outside with the big dogs.... If the weather was nicer I think the little pup would spend more time outside runnng around in the garden.

This last couple of days, myself and partner have talked about keeping him... but it wouldnt be fair on him as he would need doing... (you know what I mean). Plus Pursey has already had a growl at the pup, so I think he sees him as a threat.

But if he's still here at christmas then he will enjoy is christmas with us with a puppy stocking and some of our christmas day Dinner.... It's only once a year so i think the dogs could have some with us.

Quick Update...........

The pup that left us on Friday afternoon, is enjoying his new home, as the couple that took him, rang us up this afternoon, saying that he is beautiful and that he is being spoiled rotton, and that they have called him "Jamie"

And as for Belle well she is doing well to and settling in well.

So Long Farewell Little Guy and Belle.....

This little lady will be leaving us this evening, after tea. Her name is Belle. She is just going down the road, we will get to see her about once a week if not more, but she will be well looked after like all our pups are... You know the saying "Dogs are for life............. not for Christmas"

Well Yesterday we had a wonderful couple come to look at our puppies and they took a likein to the little fella in the white shoe..... so he was rehomed, and gonna be well looked after.
Just one left now ready to go, but he's still got Lady (mum) and Pursey (dad) to keep him company, plus Lady and the pup loves haaving a mad hour around in the back garden.

New Garden Gnome

Our beautiful lady decided to do a spot of gardening, but I think she would look lovely as one of our new garden Gnome!! It's a shame that she didnt pull the weeds up while she was sat there! We must train her up so that next time she decides to go and have 5 minutes in the flower bed, that she does the weeding for us!!

Alan Titchmarsh watch this space!!

It's an Hard life................ On the Beach

Awwwwwwwwwww this is the life for the dogs. As you would have read in a previous blog that we was going on Holiday, it wasn't far, but was a break from the same four walls. And yes our owners took us everywhere and that included a trip on the beach. We never got to build a "sand castle" as we didnt want to get sand in our paws lol

We was just lazing about once a chair come spare :)

That time again......

Well we knew it was not far off and been keeping a very close eye on the 2 dogs........... But the other day while our backs was turn, and we was sorting out our daughter! Yes guess what the dogs got "knotted" and if Lady has been caught then we will have a litter due in mid September and they will be ready about November time!!

We really didnt want her to get caught, but like I said I'm not sure until about 3/4 weeks time from now..... But will do an update about it!! If she is caught then it will be nice to get a litter like we had last time, as we never had any problems getting new homes for them, but only time will tell.

Right will do an update soon.

My First Holiday.......

Well we've have had Pursey since Novermber 2007. And we always go on holiday every year with our touring caravan, and we take the Dogs with us, but this will be Pursey's first holiday with us. The Dogs are up to date with their Jabs so could go in the Kennels while we go on holiday, but its a family thing and the dogs are part of the family, plus what it would cost to get the 2 dogs boarded in kennels, would be more then we spend on site fees for our holiday, so we are saving ourselfs quiet abit of money.
And we love taking the Dogs with us, as we love walking alot and the dogs will enjoy the exercise

So long farewell...............

Well at long last the "little man" has now final flown the nest! A lovely couple came on Sunday evening to have a look at him, and they fell in love with him straight away, and what really did it was that the little man went to the door to greet the couple! He is going to live in Newquay until 2009 then, he will be flying to Washington DC, (what a lovely dogs life he is going to have!) It was heart breaking to let him go as we have had him a extra 4 weeks to all the other puppies and he got really loving towards us, and followed us everywhere!
But what really made us laugh was our 3 year old daughter, after "little man" had gone just down the street, she said to "Lady, you have more puppies" It was just the way she came out with it! But hey thats kids for ya, always makes ya laugh when your feeling sad! We both saw the funny side!

Just little Man Left

Well pups are 10 weeks old today, they have all gone apart from Little Man. People are emailing and ringing up requesting photos of him and his parents, was let down by a couple last weekend, saying they were coming and we waited in all day and they didnt give us a ring to say.. So we was very mad, as its wasting our time and other people that are intrested. Like today we had a phone call about him, "lady on other end ask how old etc, then asked if he was KC" said no, she then put the phone down. Grrrrrrrr some people! We have put everything in advert, that they need to know, and if they was KC we would have put that they was!!!
We are hoping to find him a new home soon, as our little one is getting attached to him, its hard for us, but try and explain that to a 3 year old, its hard! She knows that the puppies have all gone to new loving homes, but I think the longer the little mans here, its going to be worse for her!
So fingers cross and that someone will come for him within the next week. He is a very loving pup, loves lots of cuddles and loves laying on the bean bag with our daughter, so he would be a loving pup to anyone.

3 Down, 1 To go!!!

We've not done any update on the pups, for over a week, its been a busy week, with all the puppies starting to go to new homes and trying to put the little fella on the internet, he is on a number of sites, people are ringing up, and emailing with intrest, but the problem is they want us to come down on our price!! We told this to the Vets, last week and she told us to "hold" out on the price as we are not farm breeders.... Like we said to her all the pups have been handed daily from the day they was born and been living in our living room in a cage, so used to household noise and surroundings, so its not like they been in a shed etc. Well not like "Lady" was when we got her back in 2006, she was in runs and in sheds. But Lady as been a loving dog since the day we brought her home. Well thats enough about Lady for now, back to the pups.

Well the first pup to go to a new home was one of the little girls, she went on Saturday 3rd May. so her new owners was going to get her Vac done! We only thought this was fair has they come all the way from Peterbrought, so instead of making 2 journeys, they only did the one!

Second pup to go was "Hollie" she went on the Friday 9th May, after her visit to the vets, but she is only next door, so she will still see us. Which is really nice.

Third pup to go was "Ella" she went last night Friday 16th May, she is only down the road at a friends, and we will still see her. We took her to new home, which was really nice to see her settle and she has a soul mate too, has they have another dog, and they got on great together.

And hopeful today the "little fella" will be going to a new home, as a couple are coming to look at him today, so fingers cross. If he goes today I know that there is going to be a few tears once again, as its going to be hard on our little one and I know partner will be upset! And our everyday life changes once again, as there will only be 2 dogs to care for once again. (Less work and time lol)

Will do an update on how the little fella gets on.........

Thursday, 8 May 2008

Count down to the visit to the vets.....

Well tomorrow is the big day! Visit to the Vets for the first Vaccination. Then guess what?? Hollie is going to her "New Home" in ther afternoon. That's another one down 2 to go!! Ella will be going next week, so it just leaves the "little fella" looking for a new home, the little man is so laid back, and would suit a oldie couple, if they wanted a small dog! But he gives lots of love and cuddles like all the pups!
The puppies are so full of it, they look running around in the garden, and playing with toys. We have to keep the 2 big ones away from the pups, as they love playing with them,, but the problem is we are frightened incase they lay on the pups and hurt them!!
Will do update on vet visit tomorrow...

On my way to a new Home....

Well this little pup has now gone to a "New Home" with lots of love, and going to enjoy her life in Peterbough, with another Cavalier girl, so she is not going to be on her own. It was hard letting her go, but has to be done. Poor Donna cried, our little girl wasnt best of pleased, but the new owner said that they will keep us upto date with her progress, and send photo's, so that helped.
They said she might be called "Poppy" but we are not 100% sure just yet until they email us.

Has Pursey got a "CRIMPED" Tail

Was outside this afternoon with the 2 dogs and not forgetting the 4 puppies, oh boy its mad trying to keep an eye on all the pups!
But we had a right laugh, as our neighbour came out to see how her pup was doing "Hollie" and really suprise how fast they are growing and changing. But what really made us laugh was she ask Donna if she had "CRIMPED" Pursey's tail, as it looks like his tails been crimped, "As much as Donna loves her dogs, she would never dream of doing anything like that, even if she could put a ribbon in there hair she wont not." The neighbour couldnt believe how his tail is, to make things worst Donna replied "she will get the hair straighter's out!" LOL
I do hope that the street didnt hear them laughing.................

Sick of our box......

Could not resist taking this picture, all the puppies have took the fancy to Saffron's bean bag. And it looks like there are enjoying the rest after a mad hour running around. They was wide awake at 6.30am this morning wanting to come out the box and play..... they spending more time playing now instead of sleeping, it gets mad trying to move in our living room as its only a small room and our Saffron likes to lay on the floor doing jigsaws or colouring, so we playing steping stones between Saffron and the 4 pup's plus between Lady and Pursey.
We tried them on warm milk yesterday and they love it, but very clumsby as they put there paws in the bowl and tip it over. lol Just thought that it will give Lady a rest during the day, so that she can be outside now that its nice out, and play with Pursey again, as he dont spend that much time outside at minute as he waiting for Lady to join him, they like "Chark 'N' Cheese." They spend hours in the garden when its nice out, and its better now that they have there own Kennel. Which Saffron join's them in the Kennel when she outside, playing with them.

Saturday, 12 April 2008

Lets Play.....

It's play time with 3 of the puppies (monsters) lol. They are full of it first thing in the morning for about half an hour, then they go mad over Lady for "milk" we have introduce them to puppy biscuits, which we put an Hammer to... To make the biscuits, like fine bits, all the pups have had there nose in the bowl of food and also in the water bowl, but they stand in the water.... lol. It's hard trying to keep "mum and dad" away while pup's at the puppy food, so we pop them in the kitchen for about 10 minutes or so. We hoping to get them paper trained this coming week, we going to use Cat litter tray's with puppy pads in them, so fingers cross and and hope it works!

4 Weeks old............

Well its 4 weeks tonight since our little "Lady" had her Puppies. Its hard to believe it really. All the puppies have there own personality, and different ones they have. They have started to find their bark (well yap) wag there tails and follow Lady around now, its a nightmare as they still small and you need to watch where you are standing and with having a 3 year old she is on the move all the time and we keep telling her "watch where you stand," she then picks them up really carful and put them back in the box, but we keep telling her that they are allowed out, but she thinks its her floor! lol

Pursey (Dad) of pups still unsure about the pups when they get near him, he turns away, think it as they think there are boss, and want to puppy fight with him!! But he not having any of it! Then again I dont blame him, as the puppies do try picking on Lady, biting her ears and going for her legs, quiet funny to see really.

One of the pups last night was yaping, at my partner, she had her on her chest and was "talking to her" and the pup was yaping back, it was like she was giving her an "answer"
It was so sweet and funny "hearing her"

Will post some more photo's later as its hard to get them to stay still for the camera.

Escape The Little One's

Both Pursey and Lady, thought that they better Escape for a couple of hours into there Kennel "love nest" lol
As 2 of the pup's have realised that they have legs and can move when they get going....... We have got video footage of them moving on our mobile phone, plus not forgetting that they have started to play fight, one of the pups was giving Lady it early today trying to bite her ear. Our 3 young old thinks its funny that try are play fighting and trying to walk, OMG wait till all 4 of the pups start running around after her ankles and playing.
So really you can't blame Lady and Pursey for getting away for a few hours, and "yeah" blow us away, we was left "Puppie Sitting" And trying to keep a 3 year old happy aswell, only if the weather was fine, we could put the pups out in a cage out side for half and hour to get fresh air, and used to the big wide world, instead of there bed all the time! "I wish I could stop in my bed all day!!" lol It's an easy life being a pup....
I will see if I can add some video slide, of the puppies, walking and play fighting!

"Hollie" is my Name

My new owner's have now thought of a name for me...... I'm going to be called Hollie. I will be with my new owner's in 5 weeks time, as I was 3 weeks old last night, where has the time gone?? So i will be leaving my Sister's and Brother and not for getting my Mum and Dad. Well put it like this I'm not got far away..... Only next door lol So I will get to see Mum and Dad every day while I am out in garden.
We have started to find our feet, but still need to build up strengh in our legs, We all play fight together now.
Will post some more later.

Puppy Love

Now this is what you call "Puppy Love" Donny Osmond, sing your heart out!!
This was a picture we took yesterday, after our friend spotted it on her way out, and we couldnt resist taking a picture. It's so cute to see that they do silly things, even know they are still quiet so young at 19 days old. They have changed so much. We have only got 2 left to sell and find new homes.
Even know they can't walk yet but can move by crawling, they all escaped again on Monday afternoon, after picking our Daughter up from Nursery. We walked into the room and the box was "Empty." Could see 3 of the puppies but there still was one missing! "Poor partner, was going spare, we could hear the pup "crying" but couldnt see it, had room upside down, then, partner got the torch and looked under the sofa, and here she was..... We knew she couldn't have been far but it was the case, that we couldn't see her, and had look under the sofa, but she was right in the middle, so they have got some movement, without "walking" Omg wait while they start walking for real, they will be under our feet and everywhere!

Monday, 31 March 2008

Wow!! We can see.....

Yes, you read it right. All the puppies have there eye's open now. Well one of the pup's eye's was open on Friday 28th March, but the other 3 pup's was "one eye Jack" But by Sunday 30th March, all of them had there eyes open. They look so different. Lady is leaving them for a good 20 minutes or more now. She will miss them once they are have new homes.

Well the third pup has got a new home, when she is 8 weeks old, so that only leave's 3 left to sell.

All the puppie's are putting on weight. they were weighted yesterday, and put on 2 and 3 oz each. Can't believe that they are 17 days old today. The times going so fast.

Well by 3 and 4 weeks, they will start taking there first steps, barking and wagging there tails, plus not forgetting that there baby teeth "Emerge" Ouch! So will be keeping our fingers away from there little mouths!

Update Pictures of Puppies

Today the puppies are 12 day olds! And this is the picture that we took in the last hour!
Looking at the screen from Left to right are the order they was born! And also the first one is a boy and the rest are girl's! So myself and Pursey are out number with "girls"
The puppies will be for sale and looking for new home's in 6 weeks time, as they will be going on a well known Dog site! :)

3 Pup's Great Escape!

Got woke up this morning at 2.30am, to 3 crying puppie's! So Donna felt down the side of the bed still half asleep, "she thought she felt 4 puppie's in the box with Lady! So then turn over again, but the puppie's was still crying, so Donna sat up in bed and then saw that on the floor there was 3 puppies! The pup's can only crawl on there bellie's at the minute, so that's how they would have got out the box..... well thats all we can think of. We made the box for Lady and puppies, we put a door on it, so that we can open it for her to walk in and out, but we think she knock it down in the night and thats how the pup's had their "Great Escape!"

Poor little mite's, I bet they thought it was a big world outside there box!! And they can't even see yet! But knew that something wasn't right as Mum wasnt there!

Never to OLD!!!

Wow, what a weekend we are having!! Yesterday, Saturday was like being a child again, we had a friend around with her little Lad and they brough around there Playstation "Buzzers" for her lad and Saffron to play with! But hey the kids was happy with a piece of paper and some crayon's in the corner of the room! And yes you guessed it!!! Us Adults (Big kidz) took over with the "buzzers" oh it was a right laugh! We have never laughed so much. We kept on getting funny looks of the kids, (we know what they was thinking!) Well life's to short, so I think I'm going to stop a big kid! LOL

So we going to go out and buy some "buzzers" next week for Saffron, even know us Adult's will play with them more! A good night in with friends, a "buzzer" in one hand and a Beer or two in the other! *Burp* ooopppps Sorry! Just getting excited.

And to top of us being a big kid, this morning at 6am Donna look out the window and said it was "snowing" I thought she was joking, so got out of bed to have a look, and Yay it was! So later today I would think that saffron would like to make a Snowman, but I think we should try and make a "Easter Bunny" as it is "Easter Sunday"

And later this afternoon we are going out for a meal to a friends, so I think I'm going to have "snowball" fights! Heee heee (I think the big kid is really coming out in me, or could it just be that after yesterday's, bit of fun, I'm not over it?)

Family Life

Our family life is like normal really. We have a active 3 year old Daughter Saffron. We have fun as a family as we like going on cheap holidays in our touring caravan and we take the 2 dogs with us aswell! We tend to spend most of our holidays down Norfolk, its a beautiful place, if it wasnt for Donna's family and our friends we would up sticks tomorrow to move to Norfolk. We like nothing more then a good rumble at carboots and second hand shops! Well I'm the one with the bargain eye's. Like a few months ago, we was in a second hand shop and I spotted something that was only £1 and thought right I will pop it on auction site and I did and to our suprice it sold for £26- Now that was a bargain of the day! So we always looking around second hand shops, we always go to carboots but only when the weathers nice!

Aswell as bargain hunting I like to chill out listening to football (only the best team) Grimsby Town FC. I like to spend time fishing at a nice lake out near Woodhall Spa. Going snookering and playing it with future Father-in-law, as we no good, but can only just get better!

Donna as just started doing craft work, (making handmade cards) And oh boy, its costing me a fortune! She does Quilling paper, beadlings, and it all goes on her cards. (We need to do a carboot sale to sell some of the many few cards she as done.) And the other bits that she as made! Also Donna loves shopping, she would live in second hand shops and at carboots. Donna is a shy person so she dont go out much, but loves nothing more then having her friends around for coffee and having a laugh! Her saying is "Life's to short to be boring."

Well Saffron she loves playing with all her toys, (she got more then she can play with but I think thats the same with all the kids) she loves having a run around with the dogs, and loves being outside in the fresh air... If she breaks any toys, she always says "aha aha" fix it! (Aha aha is "Grandad"its a joke between Saffron and her Grandad!) She started Nursery in January, and didnt like it the first week, but now she cant wait to get there, and at weekends, she ask if it nursery!! Her favourite word at the moment is "alright mate"

We have a friendly Forum up and running, which is run by Donna, 2 friends and myself! Its where you can talk about your family live and get to know people, you can do anything you like really as long as you dont upset other members, it is small at minute as not been up and running for long, but "we welcome new members!"

If you would like to Join, the link is
www.freeforum101.com/comfortcornerli

I will leave it here for now, as times getting on, will post more later.

Puppies

Well here are some pictures of the puppies....
Well the puppies are now 5 days old and changed so much. Lady is being a great Mum, looking after them, and she is letting us touch them and even hold them for a little picture! Even our 3 year old Daughter is touching them and Lady is being great about it!

Only another 9 days until there eyes will be open and thats when trouble starts as they will be finding there feet, and getting under ours, so we will need eyes at the back of our heads watching to make sure we dont stand on them! Its all going to be fun! Until there 8 weeks old then its new homes for them all! (Which we are not getting to attached, as it would be harder to part with them! I know for a fact that Donna will cry and Saffron if she here when they go!)
But we cant keep them as couldnt cope with 6 dogs, god it would be a night mare!

Lady & Pursey

Lady is the little one and Pursey is the big one (There is only 8 month's between them)

This is my first every blog, and the blog is going to be based around our 2 dogs and our family day life. We have two beautiful Cavalier King Charles (Blenheim) called Lady and Pursey!

At the moment as it stands our beautiful lady had her first Litter of 4 puppies on the 14th march 08, between the hours of 22.30 and 11.45. It was a wonderful experince for both myself and my partner, it was our first time to, so we was learning at the same time, but we had help of our wonderful friend Julie!

The pups have beautiful markings on them we have 3 Girls and 1 Boy, and getting pampered by there Mum and both myself and partner, even our 3 year old Toddler loves them to bites. (Dont really want her to get to attached as when they 8 weeks old they will all have new loving homes!)

I will had some pictures of the Puppies very soon!
